Overview
MIT WPU also known as the MIT World Peace University is located in the heart of Pune. It was a part of the MIT Group of Institutions. Established in the year 2017, it is a private university with accreditation from various boards like UGC, BC, PC to name a few. It was Established under the Government Act No. XXXV 2017 and recognized by the University Grants Commission. It ranked 72 among the Pharmacy colleges in India in 2024, as per the NIRF rankings. It provides more than 150+ courses in different field of studies. It effectively combines theoretical concepts with practical experience, providing students with a comprehensive education that equips them for real-world applications.

Admissions
Step 1: Check the Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to your desired course is to be taken into consideration. If the eligibility criteria requirement is being fulfilled by the candidate, then he can apply for the course.
Step 2: Application Form
The application form for any given course is to be filled. It requires full and proper disclosure of the details of the candidates as well as the parents. The application form for the various courses is attached below- https://admissions.mitwpu.edu.in/
Step 3: Entrance Test
Within the range of the numerous courses offered, many have to be cracked through an Entrance Test. The entrance test for MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) is called the MIT World Peace University Common Entrance Test (MIT WPU CET).It is an online exam conducted to reinforce the process of admissions.
Step 4: GDs or Personal Interviews
Upon successfully clearing the entrance test, the selected candidates are invited for personal interviews at the college campus or different locations as mentioned. The personal interview also holds a certain weightage in the admission criteria and leads the college management to take a final decision regarding the selection.
Step 5: Verification of Documents
The selected candidates are called to the college campus for physical verification of documents. It includes verification of the Class X and XII marksheet and other important documents.
Step 6: Fees Payment
Once the above-mentioned steps are completed, the fees is to be paid in order to enroll for the course.
Placements
The placement process in MIT-WPU is carried out through the Centre for Industry-Academia Partnerships" (CIAP). It is an organization created to help students create an understanding of the dynamic corporate culture.
PRE-PLACEMENT PROCESS:
1. It helps students ace Aptitude Based tests as well has prepare them for interviews. They carry out mock interviews to provide students with comfort and familiarity when they actually are selected by companies.
2. It conducts career counselling sessions by organizing various expert sessions by learned and experienced individuals within this industry.
3. Helps organize campus interviews for final year students from companies all over India.
4. Engagement is consistent through training programs, seminars, lectures etc

MIT-WPU prioritizes hands-on learning with 134 advanced labs across Engineering, Computer Science, and Sciences. These labs are equipped with industry-standard tools for experiments, research, and innovation. The university also features one of the world’s only three Subsea labs, offering Civil and Petroleum Engineering students practical experience in oil recovery, safety engineering, drilling, and fluid machinery.
