The National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy), established in 1964 as the Regional Engineering College under the University of Madras, is one of India's premier national research universities located in Tamil Nadu. Step 1:Register & Apply:

Eligible students must register for the JEE Main exam and appear for it. This is the first step towards securing admission, as the JEE Main score is crucial for eligibility and ranking in the admission process.

Step 2: Counseling Registration:

After qualifying for the JEE Main exam, students need to register for JoSAA Counselling. In this phase, they must fill in their college and course preferences. JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) handles the seat allocation for NITs, IITs, and other prestigious institutions.

Step 3: Seat Allotment:

Based on the choices submitted during counseling and the JEE Main rank, JoSAA will allocate seats. This allotment is final for the locked choices, and students are notified of the allocated seat.

Step 4: Report at NIT Trichy:

After seat allotment, selected students must report to the allotted college (NIT Trichy) and pay the admission fee to confirm their admission.

Invitation to Companies

Invitations are sent to companies/organizations in the form of brochures containing relevant information. A response sheet is also included, requesting recruitment details. Soft copies of the brochure and response sheet are emailed to the companies as well.

Company Response:

The company fills out the response sheet and sends it back to the Training and Placement Department at NIT Trichy via email or post.

Scheduling the Placement Process:

After receiving the details from the company, the placement officer and coordinators coordinate with the company to schedule a mutually convenient date for the Campus Placement process.

Travel and Arrangements:

The company provides its travel plans, and the necessary arrangements are made. If the company wishes to conduct online tests, the arrangements are made in the NIT Trichy computer center, provided prior intimation is given.

Offer Letter Distribution:

After the selection process, the company makes offers to the selected students. Offer letters are signed and accepted by the students, then sent to the company via the Training and Placement Department. NIT Trichy recommends that offers be made on the spot with a confirmation letter signed by company representatives. Shortlisted or waitlisted students can continue participating in further company placements unless their confirmation is finalized.

1. Campus:
