Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) was founded in 1987 through a unique collaboration, known as a "Social Contract," between the Government of Odisha and the Odisha Jesuit Society. Recognized internationally for its high-quality management programs,XIMB is renowned for shaping future leaders who are guided by strong ethical principles and values.
XIMB University, which is backed by the Xavier Institute of Management Society, has built upon the rich legacy of XIMB’s three decades of existence. In addition to offering premier management education, XIMB plays an active role in socio-economic development initiatives in partnership with international organizations and the government. The institute fosters the growth of local entrepreneurs, advances management research, and contributes to India’s industrial development through innovative consulting projects. The institution is governed by a Board of Governors, which includes representatives from the Jesuit Society, the Indian and Odisha governments, as well as prominent figures from the industrial and academic sectors.

Step 1: Application Process for XIMB 2024:
Candidates seeking admission to XIMB must submit their applications online through the XIM University admissions portal. Once the applications are reviewed, the university will notify those whose applications have been accepted via email.
Step 2: Shortlisting for XIMB Selection Rounds:
Applicants are shortlisted based on their scores in recognized national-level exams. The cutoff scores differ depending on the program. Selected candidates are informed through email or a merit list published by the institute.
Step 3: Written Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview:
For admission to the MBA/EMBA programs, shortlisted candidates are required to take a written admission test, followed by group discussions and personal interviews. For PhD applicants, they must take the XIMB Research Aptitude Test (X-RAT), along with a subject-specific test (if applicable), give a presentation, and attend a personal interview.
Step 4: Payment of Fees and Admission Confirmation:
Once all the selection rounds are complete, candidates can secure their admission by paying the required fees, thus confirming their seat in the program.

XIMB achieved a 100% placement rate for the MBA program in 2024.
The highest salary package offered during the placements was INR 30 LPA.
The average salary package for the MBA batch was INR 19.53 LPA.

1. Library:
The university library houses a collection of 72,130 books and over 24,000 e-books. Additionally, it subscribes to more than 36,000 online journals, 300 current journals, 3,605 bound journals, and 41 newspapers. XIMB also provides access to several renowned online resources such as Bloomberg, British Council Library, EPWRF Database, and EBSCO-Business Source Complete.
2. Hostels:
XIMB offers in-campus hostel facilities for both boys and girls, featuring 24-hour internet connectivity, a multi-purpose hall, a cooperative store, and a book club. The hostels are well-equipped with amenities such as washing machines, water coolers, geysers, telephones, televisions, and indoor games like carom and table tennis. The student-run mess provides both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. While staying in the hostel is mandatory for most programs, it is optional for Doctoral, Postgraduate, Executive, and Bachelor's programs.
3. Sports Complex:
The campus includes a sports complex with facilities for badminton, basketball, cricket, football, and tennis, encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle.
4. Labs:
Students have access to modern labs, including a computer lab and a digital lab, supporting their academic and research needs.
