Overview
Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a private university located in Chaheru, Phagwara, Punjab, India. The university was established in 2005 by Lovely International Trust, through the Lovely Professional University Act, 2005 (Punjab Act 25 of 2005) and started operation in 2006. Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022 ranked LPU in 1001–1200th.In India, the 2023 National Institutional Ranking Framework ranked Lovely Professional University 46th overall, and 38th among universities. It also ranked it 32nd in management, 17th in pharmacy, 50th in engineering, 16th in law and 16th in architecture ranking in India.

Admissions
Step 1: Registration and Application
Register on the LPU Admission Portal with basic details. Fill out and submit the application form.
Step 2: LPUNEST Entrance Exam
Apply for and appear in the LPUNEST, which serves as both an entrance test and a scholarship exam (for applicable programs)
Step 3: Result and Counseling
Check your LPUNEST results and participate in online counseling to select preferred courses and seats .Seat allotment is based on rank, availability, and preferences
Step 4: Admission Confirmation
Deposit the initial payment to confirm the seat. Upload required documents (e.g., educational certificates, photograph, ID proof). Opt for additional facilities (if needed) like hostels, transportation, etc
Step 5: Document Verification and Final Payment
Submit original documents for verification. Pay the remaining fee to complete the admission process.
