CBSE Results 2024: A Mixed Bag of Emotions as Students Receive Their Scores
The wait is finally over for lakhs of students who had appeared for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examination this year. The CBSE has announced the results of the Class 10 and Class 12 examination, bringing relief to the students who had been anxiously waiting for their scores.
In 2024, the According to the CBSE, A total of 22.51 lakhs students registered for Class 10 this year out of which, 21.38 lakhs students appeared for the exam and A total of 16.33 Lakhs students had registered for Class 12 CBSE exam 2024 with 16.21 Lakhs students appeared for the exam. The overall pass percentage of Class 10 and Class 12 has seen a slight lift this year, with 93.60% and 87.98% respectively students clearing the exam whereas last year it was 93.12% for Class 10 and 87.33% for Class 12. The pass percentage of girls has seen an increase with 91% students passing the exam. The pass percentage of boys has also seen an increase, with 85.12% students passing the exam.
IMPORTANT POINT- As per the data available, TAMIL NADU state records the highest passing percentage i.e. 99.84% and 98.74% in CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 respectively.

- Enter CBSE roll number, admit card number, and school number.

CLASS 10 TOPPER
The topper of the CBSE Class 10 examination this year is Sabyasachi Laskar , a student from BDM International School, Kolkata, who has secured an impressive score of 500/500. In a recent interview, Sabyasachi shared his study strategy. He said that he had focused a lot on time management. Completing the paper on time for the board examination is no less than a challenge. There has been a lot of change in the CBSE board exam pattern over time. Now the questions are becoming more detailed. For this, time management was an important aspect. Apart from this, continuous study, revision, and regular practice also helped him a lot, the national topper added.
CLASS 12 TOPPER
In 2023, CBSE decided not to release a merit list for Class 12 to avoid unhealthy competition among students. Instead, it opted not to award first, second, or third divisions. The board mentioned it would recognize the top 0.1 percent of students with merit certificates for scoring the highest marks in subjects. As per last year’s decision, CBSE may not announce the topper list for Class 12 in 2024. However, if the Board decides otherwise and shares the CBSE 12th Topper List 2024, it will be available on this page.
