UGC NET 2025 (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is a national-level test that is conducted to establish the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian colleges and universities. The test is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is conducted twice a year in various subjects. It is a mandatory qualification for those who want to pursue an academic and research career.
UGC NET examination is divided into two papers: Paper 1, which evaluates teaching and research aptitude, and Paper 2, which evaluates the selected subject of the candidate. Both papers are online in a computer-based mode. Candidates passing the JRF are entitled to research fellowships, whereas candidates clearing the Assistant Professor cutoff can be appointed for teaching positions. The examination is based on a programmed marking scheme with no negative marking and conducted in various languages.

Steps to Download the Admit Card

  1. Go to the official website of UGC NET: ugcnet.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on the "Download Admit Card for UGC NET 2025" link.
  3. Provide your application number, date of birth, and security PIN.
  4. Click on the "Submit" button.
  5. Your admit card will be shown on the screen.
  6. Verify all details carefully, such as name, exam date, venue, and instructions.
  7. Download and take a printout of the admit card for future use.

UGC NET Answer Key

The UGC NET answer key is published by the National Testing Agency (NTA) once the exam is over. It provides the correct answers to the questions asked in the test, allowing candidates to estimate their scores before the official results are declared.

Final Answer Key

The final answer key is published after considering all valid objections. Once released, no further challenges are accepted. This final key is used to evaluate candidates' responses and calculate their scores.

Result Calculations

  • Results are calculated based on the final answer key.
  • Each correct answer carries a specific mark, and there is no penalty for incorrect answers.
  • If the exam is conducted in multiple shifts, normalized scores may be used to ensure fairness.
